When I started Photobooth by HK, I thought I was starting a fun side business. What I didn’t realize? I was stepping into one of the most joy-filled parts of people’s biggest days.

Social media has made trends even easier to follow these days. We used to wait for magazine edits to drop and trends would last a whole season. Now, micro trends come and go as quickly as ever. So, how do you pick and choose which trends are authentically you, and which ones will feel like old news by your first anniversary?

Being my own boss was always the far-off dream. The “maybe one day” dream. The “I’ll get there eventually” dream. I never thought it would happen this soon, in this way, or with this much support behind me. This wasn’t just a year of events. It was a year of courage. A year of saying yes before I felt ready. A year of trusting that the work I love loves me back.

What do you want to do when you grow up?
